Our facility in Burlington, ON, is focused on the development and production of bioreactors, photobioreactors and advanced machineries for cellular agriculture and precision fermentation. Our integrated R&D center within the same facility is an Ontario hub for innovation in bioprocess design and optimization, plant-based engineering, food technology and scaled alternative protein production.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assemble and mount electrical, mechanical and sub-assembly components onto pan, into enclosures, structures etc. by following standard layouts
  • Wire complete panels per drawings including back panels and wiring between devices/ components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings/schematics to build, install, and test various electrical circuits, panels, and assemblies
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Wire equipment with proper voltage level, current level and industry standard colour code per provided drawings
  • Organize circuitry within panels for proper voltage level separations
  • Mount electrical components including circuit breakers, switches, transformers, relays, contactors, terminals, PLC and all other related electrical devices.
  • Perform fabrication functions on enclosures such as; drilling, screwing, sealing, and stamping.
  • Use wire termination and component layout tools including but not limited to strippers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, screwdrivers, tee square, machinist square, tape measure, wrenches and pliers.
  • Adopt and practice good housekeeping and 5S principles.

Job requirements

  • 2+ years of control panel wiring preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Experience installing, testing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical components
  • Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced/changing environment.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work quickly with your hands while maintaining accuracy and high quality
  • Strong work ethic and motivation to learn
  • Must be a team player
